CONNECTIONS
Under-Pressure Drilling and Hot Tapping Services
Under-pressure drilling, hot tapping and fitting installation with minimal disruption.

UNDER-PRESSURE DRILLING
Under-pressure drilling and hot tapping allow new connections, bypasses and access points to be installed without taking the pipeline out of service.
We support the installation of tees, valves and drilling equipment, followed by controlled tapping in accordance with the approved procedure.
We also can supply bespoke fittings via out partner Flowstop Engineering.
GROUTED TEES
BRANCH SADDLES
Branch saddles provide a secure connection point for new branches, bypass arrangements or specialist pipeline operations on pressure up to 7 bar gas and 16 bar water..
We support the supply, preparation, positioning and installation of branch saddles on PE networks, subject to the approved design and network procedure.
WELDED TEES
MTS Contracting Ltd offers expert hydrostatic testing services for the UK's gas industry. We specialise in assessing the integrity of gas pipelines, pressure vessels, and vital infrastructure. Our state-of-the-art equipment ensures your systems meet regulatory standards with maximum safety and reliability.
BOND AND BOLT
Bond & Bolt is a specialist metallic main entry system that provides secure access for flowstopping techniques such as bagging off and Iris Stop. The key advantage of the system is that only the crown of the pipeline needs exposure, significantly reducing excavation requirements compared to traditional entry methods.
The system utilises an externally mounted saddle bonded and mechanically secured to the pipe. Adhesive is applied to a prepared pipe surface before the saddle is positioned and bolted in place, creating a sealed and stable entry point. Once installed, the saddle provides flanged access for flowstopping equipment.
Bond & Bolt is particularly suited to congested or restricted environments where excavation depth, space constraints or surrounding infrastructure limit conventional access methods. By reducing excavation and reinstatement requirements, the technique minimises disruption, programme duration and project risk.
