BUTT FUSION
MTS is accredited by EUSR to perform butt fusion on mains, handling pressures up to 16 bar depending on the material being welded.
This process uses semi and fully automatic welding machines. The ends of the pipes are heated using a Teflon-coated heater plate, then brought together to form a homogeneous joint. Once cooled, the weld bead is removed for examination to ensure integrity and quality.
MAIN LAYING
We expertly conduct main laying operations across a wide range of pipe sizes and pressures in gas networks, from 32mm to 630mm, catering from low pressure (LP) to intermediate pressure (IP) systems.
ELECTROFUSION
Our team is also proficient in electrofusion, accredited by EUSR to work on mains at pressures up to 16 bar.
With equipment in-house to carry out fusions from 16mm to 630mm we can respond to most job with out the need to hire in equipment.
COMMISSIONING & DECOMMISSIONING
Our services extend to commissioning and decommissioning using direct purge and vacuum purging methods. With in-house flexible riders up to 2 inches, we adapt systems to handle various purging variations across LP to IP pressure ranges.
