Pipework Installation

MTS is accredited by EUSR to can carry out butt fusion on gas and water mains working on pressures up to 16 bar depending on the material being welded.

This is carried out using semi and full automatic welding machines by heating both ends of the pipe using a Teflon coated heater plate then bringing the pipes together for form a homogeneous joint which is left to call and the bead removed for inspection.

MTS is accredited by EUSR to can carry out electrofusion on gas and water mains working on pressures up to 16 bar.

This is carred out by prepping the end of the pipe and removing the oxisised layer using a scraper then pushing both end of the pipe into the eldectrofusion coupler. once the pipe is at the correct depth a voltage is introduced in to the coupler using the fusion box which fuses each end to the coupler to create a seal.

We can carry out main laying operation across the pipe and pressure ranges on gas networks from 32mm to 630mm and LP to IP.

We also offer services on commissioning and decommissioning using direct purge and vacuum purging.

With our in house flexible riders up to 2" we are able to adapt the system to cover all the variations of purging on pressure ranges LP to IP.
